Fall Baseball Season
Q01: Does Queen Creek Little League (QCLL) offer a fall baseball season?
A01: QCLL does not offer a fall baseball season; we only offer a spring baseball season. For our spring baseball season, we generally open registration in the mid-November timeframe and keep it open into January. Practices start in early February. Games for the season run from March through May. If you are interested in playing fall baseball, you can check with neighboring Little Leagues, as some of them may offer it. Also, Southeast Valley Pony Baseball usually offers a fall baseball season. The games are played at Mansel Carter park. More information can be found at: Southeast Valley Pony Baseball.
Uniforms and Equipment
Q02: What does QCLL provide for uniforms and what is the responsibility of the parents
A02: QCLL will provide every player with a team hat, a numbered uniform shirt, socks and a belt. The parent will need to provide the pants for the uniform. Team Managers/Head Coaches will notify the parents of what color pants they should purchase. Parents are also required to provide appropriate footwear for the player. The league will also provide batting helmets to each team that can be shared. Players can provide their own helmets if desired.
Player Evaluations
Q03: What happens at player evaluations and does every player make a team?
A03: The player evaluations are conducted to assist coaches in forming the teams; every player will make a team. At player evaluations, each players will go through the following progression with the coaches watching: (1) 2-3 swings with ball being pitched by a pitching machine, (2) a run from home plate to second base, (3) field 2-3 ground balls at shortstop with throws to 1st base and (4) field 2-3 fly balls to left field with throws to home. The Junior Minors division will not complete the fly ball portion of the evaluation. For more information see our Try-Outs/Evaluations Page
Q04: What happens if my player is unable to attend player evaluations?
A04: We ask that every player make every attempt to attend and participate player evaluations. In the event that a player is unable to attend, they will be put in a "blind" draw in the draft to create teams. Essentially, they will be randomly added to a team. If the player is well known by all of the coaches in that division, the board may allow the player to be selected through the draft process versus the "blind".
Q06: What types of bats are allowed for use in Little League.
A06: The USABat Standard is used for all divisions Majors and lower (Tee Ball, Machine Pitch, Sr. Minors, Jr. Minors and Majors). Only USABat approved bats are allowed for use in these divisions. Additional information can be found at: https://www.littleleague.org/playing-rules/bat-information/ A full list of approved bats can also be found at: https://usabat.com. The Juniors Division may use either USABat Standard bats or BBCOR bats
Q05: Where do players in Queen Creek Little League play their games?
A05: All divisions of QCLL will play their games at Mansel Carter Oasis Park in Queen Creek. The only exception, is the Juniors Division (Ages 12-14). The Juniors Division may play some games that they play at neighboring Little Leagues within District 14.
In the event of needing more fields to make up games for weather QCLL may have games scheduled at Frontier Family Park as well. This would not be frequent.

Q09: Where do the teams practice?
A09: Practices will be held at Mansel Carter Oasis Park and Frontier Family Park both in Queen Creek. Coaches may also arrange to practice at other locations with league approval.
Q08: What do we do with the Medical Release forms?
A08: The Medical Release forms should be completed and given to you Team Head Coach/Manager. They will keep all completed forms with them and bring them to all games and practices. This is information that can assist the coach if there is an injury to a player and the parents cannot be located or are not at the practice or game. These should be given to the coach and not any other league officials. The coach will collect these at the first team meeting or practice.
