QCLL Season Suspension until 04/06

Little League International has sent out an advisement to all of its more than 6,500 programs in more than 84 countries, and are recommending that leagues exercise an abundance of caution and implement a temporary suspension of all league activities until no earlier than April 6. We are informing you that QCLL will be following these guidelines set forth by our governing body and will be suspending ALL league activities until the advised date of April 6th. This includes all games and practices.

We want all families to know that the Queen Creek Little League Board of Directors had a meeting last night to formalize this decision. We took into consideration the advisement of Little league International as well as guidance from our Little League District Administrator, the Town of Queen Creek, the AZ Department of Health Services and Maricopa County Public Health. I know this is not what we all may want, but in situations like this we are going to exercise additional caution and always put the safety of our players, families and communities first.

We are committed to communicating with you on a consistent basis, providing you with additional information and best practices to work through the coronavirus pandemic. We will continue to work with our public health partners, Little League International and the Town of Queen Creek as we closely monitor the situation.

We are advising all families to follow the guidelines set by the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), https://www.azdhs.gov/, https://www.maricopa.gov/5302/Public-Health agencies.

We will keep everyone updated via email on the progression of our season after April 6th.

Thank you for your understanding.

Dan Babcock, President QCLL
